Picked Along the Way is an original 16 x 20 mixed media painting featuring a cowboy boot filled with loosely gathered wildflowers. Created as part of The Quiet Turning collection, the piece is rooted in motherhood, memory, and the small things we collect and carry with us as life moves forward.

Artist Statement
This piece began with something simple: the little flowers my boys would pick and bring to me.

Dandelions, tiny wildflowers, whatever they happened to find along the way — handed over like the most important gift in the world.

As they grow, those moments happen less often. Picked Along the Way is about holding onto them while also recognizing how quickly childhood changes. The flowers represent the memories, people, lessons, and unexpected beauty we gather throughout our lives.

It is a reminder that the journey itself often gives us the things we end up holding closest.
