About

Raised in Southern California, Shannon developed an early connection to art, storytelling, and the natural world around her. After earning a degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design and spending more than 12 years working in design, branding, and creative direction, she returned to painting as a way to reconnect with a more personal and intuitive form of creativity. That background in design continues to shape her artistic practice, giving her work a thoughtful sense of composition, color, and how each piece will live within a home.

Through Shannon Lockwood Studio, she creates original paintings and archival-quality prints designed for warm, timeless interiors. Her work is especially inspired by the her view on landscapes, animals, and the spiritual connection that they hold for her. She brings life to everyday scenes through color, movement, and feeling. Blending painterly landscapes with a collected, modern traditional sensibility, Shannon creates art that feels both personal and lasting — pieces meant to bring warmth, story, and a sense of place to the walls they live on.

Her paintings often explore the emotional connection between landscape and memory: the places we pass every day, the views that remind us of home, and the quiet beauty found in ordinary moments. Whether creating a wide Texas sky, a pasture scene, or a sentimental animal portrait, Shannon’s goal is to make artwork that feels approachable, soulful, and deeply connected to home.

When she’s not painting or working in the studio, you can usually find Shannon on the go with her husband and two boys at sports events and kid activities.
