About

Shannon Lockwood is an artist and designer living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas. Born and raised in Southern California, she developed an early connection to art, storytelling, and the natural world around her. After earning her degree from Monmouth University in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design, she has spent more than 12 years working across design, branding, and creative direction to support marketing efforts for clients across multiple industries. In addition to her creative director design role, she has returned to painting as a more personal and intuitive form of creative expression.

The scenery of North Texas has become a meaningful source of inspiration in Shannon’s work. Wide open skies, quiet pastures, oak trees, animals, and familiar roads have brought out a renewed connection to painting and a desire to capture the everyday beauty that makes a place feel like home.

Her background in design continues to shape her artistic practice, giving her work a thoughtful sense of composition, color, and how each piece will live within a home. Through Shannon Lockwood Studio, she creates original paintings and archival-quality prints designed for warm, timeless interiors.

Shannon’s work is rooted in the emotional connection between landscape, memory, and place. Whether creating a Texas landscape, a pasture scene, or a sentimental animal portrait, her goal is to create artwork that feels approachable, soulful, and lasting with pieces meant to bring warmth, story, and calmness to the walls they live on.

When she’s not painting or working in the studio, Shannon can usually be found on the go with her husband and two boys at sports events, kid activities, and everyday family life.
